I live in Manchester, I do a degree at university and I breathe. Daily. Nice to meet you. I have made a huge list of places I want to go and things I want to do or achieve by the end of my degree. I am determined to complete it. This is my story. |
Growing up is so annoying.
I’ve spent pretty much all of yesterday and all of today thus far trying to work out how the bills are going to work in the house and such. Four out of six of us decided on Virgin for the broadband, phone and tv package. The other two have yet to give an opinion.. and I think most of us will agree on British Gas for the utilities as four comparison sites say they’re the best for our usage so :/ I also tried doing independent research for it but it’s all so complicated :(
The only method I have of communicating with everyone en masse is facebook, which is okay but hardly ideal as it means people can just not reply to the thread indefinitely. Why do people do that?! Even if you have plans for god’s sake it’s only a couple of hours to sort it out which will effect the next year of our lives, you can go shopping any time. I really hate it when I type out this huge message in the thread mentioning boring stuff like gas companies and what people think of these companies and stuff and then also mentioning broadband and stuff, and people just reply saying ‘yeah that broadband sounds wicked’ and it’s like for god’s sake! There’s like another four paragraphs not related to that that you’ve just IGNORED. I know it’s boring but I’m moving in on Wednesday and I’m going to be COLD unless you just take ten minutes to read it and give an opinion since I’ve spent the past TWO FULL DAYS trying to find the best deal. UGH.
I finally found British Gas are the cheapest (I think, based on price comparison sites) for our usage, and so I’ve suggested going with them for gas and electric.
I think I’ve sussed out how it all works as well which is good :) I love knowing how things work and finding the best deal based on that knowledge, as opposed to just going with the crowd and relying on the system.. love it love it :)
So I’m pretty excited to be moving in tomorrow! I’m coming back on Friday though for the weekend, and haven’t decided whether or not I’ll be going back to Manchester straight after or having a bit of a break, but it’s not too far so :) also I found out I missed the deadline for signing up to Squash this month (fucking broken e-mail), but it’s okay because I can sign up for August instead.
Also I found this morning that I haven’t actually put on any weight following my little binge! Good times!
So basically I may be able to sort out the utilities and such before I actually move in tomorrow! Which will be ideal, if everyone replies on time.
Hm anyways just a quick rant there, as I’m bored waiting for replies.
I may update later if I get it sorted.

ps. I picked this song because it reminds me of anticipation and knowing something is about to happen and waiting for it and excitement :)
