I live in Manchester, I do a degree at university and I breathe. Daily. Nice to meet you. I have made a huge list of places I want to go and things I want to do or achieve by the end of my degree. I am determined to complete it. This is my story. |
Well hello! Finally got round to writing this :) the past few days have been pretty hectic since I got back from my stay in Lincoln, I do apologise.
This is my last night here, before I move up to Manchester tomorrow, to live all alone. I’m coming back this weekend though to help my sister move house and to put up the new greenhouse in our garden, and I may stay here after that if I don’t like being alone so much. But we’ll see how it goes. Parts of me are really, really looking forward to having some alone time. I’m going to try and find some of the places on The List, especially food shops and grocers, and I’m going to try to cook some things I’ve never done before, and I’ll generally enjoy cooking for myself again. I’m also going to try and record some of my songs, taking inspiration from this (which is awesome by the way) in particular to perhaps add some dynamics myself instead of using Garageband instruments like I originally planned. I tried this before sort of, and the result was okay but hardly perfect. So yeah, I’m gonna try and do that a bit more properly next week I think.
My phone broke for the second time this week, not fun. Went to the cinema and when I came out the screen had cracked for some unknown reason. The only possible suspect is a pack of chewing gum which was the only thing in the same pocket - but surely this couldn’t have cracked the screen? Maybe it was change in temperature or pressure or something? So annoyed because my phone broke earlier in the week due to stupid designers at Evian not making the sports caps click shut (never buying their water again out of principle!). Luckily Orange kindly replaced it, after I lied to them and said it just mysteriously turned itself off and wouldn’t turn back on.. However I can’t really do the same thing this time as the phone does actually turn on. I’m going to tell the truth and just hope they give me a replacement, I think. I don’t have a warranty but it wasn’t my fault at all? I hope I get a replacement as the phone is worth £200-something.
Anyways. Just a quick one tonight, I will assuredly update with something more substantial either tomorrow night (first night alone in new house - scary!) or sometime shortly after.
Also going to rethink the blog and the content and the style to make it more readable I think, watch this space.
